The Arts Center isn’t a future promise, it’s already delivering results. Since we began using the building, we’ve experienced a 50% increase in the number of people we serve, demonstrating both the need and the opportunity.

ACBS History
For nearly 40 years, the Arts Council of Big Sky (ACBS) has helped build the region’s arts and cultural ecosystem, growing into a robust organization.
-
Annually presenting over 70 events
-
Supporting hundreds of artists
-
Curatting a community public art collection
-
Offering transformative arts education to thousands

Over the past decade we have tripled our budget and programming and expanded our reach to serve thousands of residents and visitors.
As we grow, we strive to create opportunities for people from different backgrounds, cultures, and places to build connection through creative expression and engagement.

Since moving into the building at 77 Lone Peak Drive, and opening it to the public in April of 2025, we have activated the space and shared it with the community in so many ways!

“It’s hard not to love an organization that is fully committed to bringing amazing music, film, public art, and arts education to our community. All great mountain towns celebrate the arts, and Big Sky is one of those great places.”
– 15-year Big Sky Resident
The Big Sky Arts Ecosystem
This center will complement existing community resources, such as the Warren Miller Performing Arts Center and Big Sky School District’s facilities, offering new opportunities without overlapping existing services. It will be a vibrant space for everyone—artists, students, and residents alike—to engage, collaborate, and create.
Partner Organizations
Including our first event in April 2025 - Lone Peak High School Prom - we have partnered with 61 organizations in the area, and have hosted, presented or have on the books 81 events specifically in the Big Sky Center for the Arts building. But there are so many ideas we've had to say no to because we can't host multiple activities at the same time until we remodel the space.
